Loft conversion
PLEASE AVOID. Company director a conman. Paid to complete loft conversion to building regs. Lied consistently throughout process and has left my house with a multitude of damage including but not limited to the destruction of my roof. I have had other builders, architects etc assess the damage and each one is shocked that someone would do this. He is clearly not competent nor qualified to carry out any such work. Bathroom refurbishment, tiling, shower fit
To save time and potential stress, I decided to book with a professional company who have good reviews online. I found SBA facilities through CAT and bark and went ahead with them. Though the work couldn’t start immediately, the time scale and costs were reasonable. We booked them in Oct, and the work was supposed to start 1st Nov. The word limit does not allow for the full story, but after several delays starting the work, they finally sent someone mid Nov. He worked for 4 days and wasn’t confident, nor competent. Joseph (owner) had to come in on 5th day; he promised to sort the mess that was created as there had been a leak and the tiles weren’t done correctly. The ceiling on the floor below had to be ripped open. He agreed to send another plumber and pay us for the damage. We are now nearing mid Dec. No one has been sent to fix anything. Our calls won’t be picked up. We had already paid 50% deposit and haven’t received a penny back. Our expensive Italian tiles are discontinued so they are rendered useless. No work carried out
Intially quoted £300 to fit worktops and put up 3 cupboards, showed quote from other provider (4 week wait) then stated it was solid wood worktops, it isnt. Stated it was a day and half work. Agreed lower price, day of job, called to say track and trace been in touch, was looking for test. Someone would come Saturday or Sunday. Rat burrows and sighting in garden
