8.67 Cavity Wall Insulation Replacement
Posted 12 January
The two workers turned up punctually each day and worked effectively and efficiently in very cold conditions. They were polite and kept up informed as to what they were doing. Unfortunately, due to the weather, they were not able to wash down the side of the house (as the outside tap was frozen) so we will need to do that when the weather warms up. But overall, they have done a very good job and we are feeling the benefits of a warmer house.Verified reviewerJob location: BR510 Loft boarding and Insulation

Job location: CR2Gave good advice on inspecting the loft. Only carried out necessary work. Ventilation pegs in the roof and loft boarding, as my insulation was okay. Guys did a great job, were polite and left it nice and tidy.10 Removed old boarding and insulated a complex loft - with lots of services and pipework.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Prompt booking for the survey, clear and fair quote and an easy process of getting the work booked in. The work was completed to a very high standard and in the timeframe quoted. Prompt arrival and left the house tidier than they found it!Verified reviewerJob location: RH1910 Remove old insulation, fit new deeper insulation, board central area of loft.

This is the second time we have used Viridian for installing insulation. Both times we had a detailed quote following a survey. The work was done on time and to specification.Verified reviewerJob location: KT229.75 Filling the cavities

Octopus Energy provided us with a list of approved local insulation providers and we found Viridian included on the list and also doing very well on Checkatrade. They responded very promptly and we were visited for a survey on our unusual 2/3 story house, built on a slope, which we accepted. The challenging work was completed over two days including a cavity clean and fill. I was initially concerned about the height of the house and ladders, however, the guys had all the safety gear, which they used and they all went away intact having done a grand job. So well done Viridian.Verified reviewerJob location: ME510 Utility roof insulation

Great team arrived when they said they would and carried out the insulation install via drilling holes in the walls. The job was completed quickly with no mess and the holes refilled. We noticed the difference in temperature in the utility room instantly and with the rising cost of gas we should definitely save money. If you need insulation work doing I can highly recommend these guys. You will not be disappointed. 10/10Verified reviewerJob location: TN2310 Roof boarding, hatch install and insulation

Insulated our back room and installed a loft hatch. Also boarding our loft which has made it a great useable space. The lads that did the work were on time, checked parking, confiirmed everything before they started, really friendly, clean and courteous. Glad we went with them, they used wood supports which are much better than loft legs and much better value for money.Verified reviewerJob location: BR6

Memberships and approvals
PAS 2030
Why use a PAS 2030:19 approved company? The PAS 2030:19 standard became mandated for all funded energy efficiency measures effective on 1st July 2021.
PAS (publicly available specification) is a British Standards Institute (BSI) standard which sets out the requirements for installing, commissioning and handover of Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM’s) in domestic retrofit projects. Its main objective is to assist installers in complying with its requirements for EEMs, providing installation specification for a measure specific Annex. Compliance with the PAS standard requires each installation to meet all of the requirements of PAS 2030.
All retrofit installers who want to install one or more specified EEMs under public funded schemes such as ECO need to be PAS 2030 certified to access these schemes. PAS is required for all funded works such as ECO, Local Authority Delivery Funding and the future Home Upgrades Grant. It is a fundamental requirement under the TrustMark Scheme Rules.
Insulation Assurance Authority (IAA)
The Insulation Assurance Authority supports members with certification and assessment of quality assurance at the centre of their objectives and policy. The IAA provides independent 25-year guarantees for cavity insulation products fitted by registered installers in the UK and Channel islands.
Cavity Wall Insulation Self Certification (CWISC)
The Cavity Wall Insulation Self Certification scheme provides our customers with the comfort and security of knowing that our work complies with the requirements of the building regulations.
BBA Approved
We have been assessed and approved by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) for wall insulation. The BBA is the UK’s major authority offering approval and certification services to manufacturers and installers supplying the construction industry.
TrustMark
TrustMark is the government-approved quality scheme that accompanies our PAS 2030:2019 accreditation. This means you are choosing a company that has been thoroughly vetted to meet the standards set by TrustMark, including excellent customer service, technical competence and trading practices.
