  Poor quality job

  Had Roof cleaning package which included Gutter clearing Fascia and soffits wash Full clear up at end of job Unfortunately the work was carried out by one person who said it should have been two for a job our size. Site left in an appalling state as no attempt had been made to protect anything from the wet moss being cleared from the roof. realising it would take days to clean up ourselves we called them back and they did a reasonable job of getting things relatively clean but we did notice that after it rained we had trouble with overflowing gutters. Had to pay a company £150 to clear them

  Once I decided to go ahead with the service Shane was able to fit me in within a few days. The team worked hard and efficiently and I was very pleased with the result. I knew what to expect as a neighbour of mine, with an identical house, had already had their roof cleaned with Vortex a few months before. I was initially worried that there may be leaks because of something my next door neighbour had said. But these fears proved to be completely unfounded. So I have no hesitation in recommending them.

  Moss Removal Service

  With hindsight my trust in Vortex was misplaced.

  Vortex soft washed our concrete tiled roof in Feb. 2025. A lot of moss was removed but it also stripped a lot of the colour. Vortex denied that our roof looked any different in colour. Vortex said that they had thoroughly cleaned the gutters. We have recently employed another company to re-colour the roof. They found that the gutters were blocked with moss, pockets of moss remained on the roof and several tiles appeared to be recently broken. With hindsight I am revising my review of Vortex.

  Moss Removal Service

  Great service from Vortex

  Initially we were nervous about using a 'soft wash' technology that we were not familiar with. We sent Shane a number of questions about it, to which he replied immediately and in detail. We should not have worried. The work was carried out carefully, with much discussion about any challenges that came up. The results are amazing. The roof is very clean, completely free of moss and dirt and with no damage to any tiles. Afterwards, the gutters, fascias and windows were cleaned and all debris removed from the site. We are delighted.

  Job required: roof and gutter clean - moss removal

  Using Vortex was quite frankly an appalling experience. The job was handled half heartedly and extremely unprofessionally. The workman was seen just standing on the ground and directing the jet wash onto my bungalow roof, moss was flying everywhere and there was no ground protection used as this has all been caught on camera. I checked when work had wrapped up and there was still massive lumps of moss on the roof. They came back out the next day to finish the roof only to find out now the gutters are completely full of moss! He’s been paid and has ignored my messages since. Rogue trader AVOID!

  Roof cleaning, incl soffits and guttering

  Very easy to arrange the date. Shane arrived at the arranged time. After explaining what he would be doing, he got on and got the job done. A good job at a reasonable price.
