Our client wanted to follow the sun, due to her homes' situation. She wanted a patio "of a fashion" to enable herself , friends and colleagues to move with the sun. Couple this with low-maintenance planting and a lawn for her nieces and nephews to play on, this was the plan agreed.
Our client wanted a space to read, so altered the existing space at the foot of the garden to accomodate this.

Lots of remedial works to complete prior to the installation project

To clear and redevelop into a low maintenance portion of the garden design

All aspects of the installation was complete apart form the introduction of a new premium grade lawn.
After clearance, topsoil addition, low maintenance planting & feeding, raised half-circle construction and the addition of a new rear fence with climbing wires tentioned along them to cater for Wisteria, we had measured out the pathways ready for turfing up to this seating area
Existing bench added to base and now ready for turfing and adding the climbers to the fence line
Our client needed a separate area specifically for her washing line which did not utilise the lawn. We decided to extend the patio to accomodate this.
Our client wanted to look down her garden and not see one rectangular lawn. We decided that gently raised walls would be created that broke the garden into two distinct areas. This was matched on the other side to create a 'gate' effect.
When planting our clinet wanted to use some of her plants. We ensured they were well fed and provided excellent topsoil ready for their first year.
This image shows the wall as it slopes upwards as it travels down the gardens. Completing this in this way creates an illusion and takes away the real fact that the garden slopes down hill by over 12 degrees.

Our client was extremely pleased with the results and our design managed to give her exactly what she wanted. Very satified customer.
