  Best tradesman we ever had

  We have an old 5 bed Georgian property. We needed internal decorating in reception, hallway staircases etc. In the reception after they removed the lining paper we realised the old rendering was in a very bad condition. So we decided to re-plaster all the walls and the ceiling as well. We didn’t have to find a plasterer, as Istvan could carry out all the skimming and he done a brilliant job with it. Can’t recommend him enough, he is a very professional tradesman, also very tidy always left the site clean as possible. Oh and turned up every morning in time and left six of after six.

  Wallpapering, painting, skimming and restoration

  Istvan was great. My property was certainly a challenge thanks to the previous owners unskilled DIY jobs, and due to this it meant that a lot of different skills were needed from paint stripping to restore some wood, skimming walls and repairing holes around my windows, and painting and decorating. Istvan takes great pride in his work and works efficiently and with care. Would recommend.

  Inside house paint and removal of internal glass doors

  Trustworthy, prompt every day, very clean and tidy worker, definitely recommend & will use again. We left him in our house while on holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to do that again. Great painter who did stair bannisters, ceilings, all woodwork. Istavan also removed internal glass doors and frames, insulated, boarded, then painted both rooms as well, all to a very high standard.

  Kitchen floor tiling

  The second time we've used Istvan because the finish is so good, we can trust him, and he's just a great guy. We had a horrible kitchen floor with damaged kickboards and skirting. We ordered the tiles and Istvan did the rest. He brought up the old flooring, levelled it all out, retiled and added new painted kickboards and skirting. The finish has made it look like we've had a whole new kitchen fitted. Couldn't be happier.

  Full bathroom makeover

  I can not recommend WCDI enough. Istvan is an exceptionally talented individual with great vision and ideas. My bathroom was exceptionally complicated (Japanese toilet, TV etc) and also involved removing walls. Istvan thought carefully about it and made drawings and diagrams to ensure all the items I had ordered would fit and work well together. The level of finish is literally above 5 star hotel quality! A brilliant guy too with a great sense of humour.

  Turned our office into a nursery - decorating - Paneling, painting, wallpapering

  Istvan was brilliant and has completed the work to an excellent standard. We told him what we were after, he gave us rexcommendations and delivered a brilliant nursery room for us. He cut the panelling, prepped the house and floors, removed previous wallpaper and fixed up the walls. Painted, added a dado rail, attached the panelling and wallpapered the top half of the wall. Even painted our radiator cover for us and attached it to the wall. Definitely recommend if you're in the Basingstoke area and need a friendly guy you can trust to deliver jobs to a high standard.
