• Concern re rising damp

  We have had long standing problems with our patio doors and we were concerned that the issue may be due to rising damp potentially causing more structural problems with our house. I phoned for an appointment and one was arranged for only a few days later. Ray Punter, Head Surveyor arrived promptly, carefully listened to our concerns and assessed the situation. He was able to reassure that it was not too serious and that relatively simple measures re drainage and protecting the cill should be adequate. He did not charge for his time nor advice- and overall his visit was extremely helpful.

• Rising damp in our 400 year old home?

  Having worried that we had a rising damp issue in our home I made contact with WSDC, Kirstie took all the details and called me back to arrange an appointment, Ray called to confirm and arrived bang on time. Having looked at what I thought was an issues Ray quickly reassured me that there was no remedial works required just a few changed to how we position furniture and areas we need to heat, great service and honest advice with no big sell. Stop worrying and call this company.

• Damp proofing

  The team were friendly, professional and hard-working - they fitted the job in for me as I was on a tight deadline. The work has been competed to a high standard and when undertaking the job, they pointed out an area of concern that I wouldn't have noticed, which allowed me to resolve this and prevent possible future complications. I would not hesitate to recommend them, though hopefully I won't require their services in the future!

• suspected rising damp

  We suspected rising damp in our conservatory. The Head Surveyor from WSDC Mr Punter came and said that the problem was condensation not rising damp.Therefore no remedial work was required. He gave us lots of usefull advice. Good to have an honest opinion from an expert.

  We were contacted by the surveyor as scheduled. He arrived on time. The mushrooms showing were thankfully the signs of wet rot. The surveyor was professional in his summation of what we needed to do to remedy the situation and we highly recommend this company for their integrity and professionalism.

• Inspection for possible dry rot

  I called in this Company to inspect what I believed to be a case of dry rot. I got a date for their Surveyor to call in only two days time. He arrived promptly and after a careful inspection gave me the good news that it was a case of wet rot - not the dreaded dry rot. So no work for this Company this time but the Surveyor seemed pleased he had good news for me. He would not even take a call-out fee. Thank You WSDC. Highly recommended.
