  'repair' of leaking roof and leaking chimney. Both still leaking - Zaf have disappeared.

  Zaf build were unreliable throughout the process - repeatedly ignoring emails, not showing up when arranged, and not having coordination across their staff - and did terrible work that failed on every front within a couple of months. They then ghosted us.

  poor roofing repairs with terrible after-care

  Employed Zaf Build after a recommendation. Prompt review of roof, quote and job undertaken well ( we thought). Asked for ALL REPAIRS/ISSUES to be quoted for and fixed as we did not want further issues to come to light. They left roof insulation material in internal guttering which flooded top floor rooms. We asked for a review of the work as we could now see daylight through the roof. Difficult to contact. Not returning calls. eventually they visited. Blamed the roofer who did work (left firm), cracked roof tiles and work not complete. Not returning any calls .

  Avoid: Roof repair experience

  We employed Will from Zafbuild to repair 4 leaks: one was a flat roof, one a conservatory seam, one was a slated roof and the other was a chimney breast leak. Work was undertaken but seemingly by a subcontractor and not Will and poor communication meant they turned up with no knowledge of what the work involved. After the work had finished we were pressured into settling the invoice immediately before the repair was confirmed as effective. The first rains came and all 4 leaks remained. Despite many attempts to get them back to remedy the problem we have been unable to get a response. Avoid.

  Pitched Roofing Repair

  Roofing work - Refelting pitched roof and resurfacing flat roof.

  Zafbuild told us that the works would be backed by an insurance-backed guarantee, however since we finished paying for the works, they have revealed that there is no such insurance policy in place and that they will not purchase one. During the works, they had to be chased repeatedly to complete the job, and were obviously used to cutting corners as customers are unlikely to check on roofs. Less than 4 months after the work was completed, it is already showing to have faults. They have somewhat predictably now started refusing all contact, and will not fix the faults.

  Roof repair

  They have left scaffolding on the back of the house for over 3 months and despite numerous emails, phone calls and Whatsapp messages being left, have not removed the scaffolding. They blame the scaffolders they subcontracted for being 'difficult' although ultimately they are responsible and should take responsibility to remove this. They also haven't reattached the TV ariels the took off despite promising to come back for this. The roof is now leaking more rapidly that it was on the valley they repaired and they are not coming to fix it under the 10 year guarantee they gave me
