  Aimlessly Checking for a broken light switch

  I said to the engineer ? I thought the problem was a broken wire in the stalk I had checked online. He said he needed to check everything so he wandered round the car with his meter, after 2 hours and £120 poorer he agreed it was the stalk . He asked me if he needed to carry on , NO I replied politely with gritted teeth . He kept the keys until I paid . When he’d gone the central locking which was ok wasn’t working , I rang the office and was told very irately the engineer Would have checked it before he left I know he didn’t . I was told I would have to pay again for it to be fixed AVOID.

  Auto Electric Diagnostics

  Mercedes B200d T55AAG Boo from ZAP Auto Electrical came here and spent 75 minutes checking the car over but his equipment found no faults When we took the car to Mercedes their MB Star machine found software issues in the dashboard system which they managed to fix within 30 minutes My complaint is that ZAP should have realised that only sophisticated equipment would fault find the problem Boo was advised that the RAC had been 5 times, replaced the battery which was old and could find no faults The job was a waste of time and money!

  Electrical fault on windows

  Took 4 hours to diagnose and cost £320 for something that came up on Google! Repair still not carried out! There is no customer service apart from a very argumentative man on the end of the mobile phone who doesn’t let you speak!!! Solicitor now involved as the mechanic refused to give car keys back until payment had been made!!!!  Avoid this company at all costs.

  Check of why a speedometer not working

  Just appalling. Paid mechanic for two hours work to find out why speedo not working on vehicle had just purchased. He said needed new instrument cluster. Left the vehicle in worse state than started with indicator also now not working. When I rang to complain he was very abusive. When got new cluster turns out thats not the problem and ONLY issue was speedo cable was missing ... would have thought in two hours would have managed to spot that!! PLEASE do yourself a favour and don't touch this lot with a barge pole. My husband and father (not mechanics) fixed the problem in an hour.

  Vehicle harness repair

  After the repair to the harness still we still had a very hard start problem on closer inspection found that we still had a harness fault ( I am a retired vehicle mechanic ) I called the electrician and said I still had a harness fault,he said that after his repair the car started so if he came back I would have to pay more I said that as he never checked his repair for continuity he should a least come and look he refused unless I paid him again I refused.I all so replace both battery,s on his recommendation.Ihave now had the vehicle repaired .Have a ditailed report on bad workman ship.!!!!!
