A.C.Wilgar was established in 1985 by our current managing director Billy Wilgar. Our quality is maintained by employing all of our staff directly, we do not use sub contractors. We currently employ 24 staff, and cover all of South East London and North Kent.

As we only work in owner occupied properties, therefore our engineers are specifically trained to treat all our customers properties, as homes, not houses. This ethos helps us maintain an excellent relationship with our customers, most of whom come through recommendation.

Upgrade of central heating.
Fantastic job and the friendliest, trustworthy and reliable service I have come across. They were fast-paced and experienced and the pipe work for the boiler installation is very neat. Conscientious and perfectionists at their work, they advised me about the best boiler for my needs (which I cross-referenced with a friend to confirm and they were spot on). I highly recommend the A C Wilgar team to anyone that needs a job very well done and their mind at ease.

Boiler installation, subsequent inspections.
Is it possible to fall in love with a boiler company? If so, this is a perfect match! These guys are great, they put in our boiler in 2012, and have done our annual inspection since. They are so professional. It's become a bit of a joke at how awful our luck is with trades companies, but these guys are just fab. They are on time, friendly, polite tidy, (they bring their own door mat!) do a top job, and nothing is too much trouble. Our boiler is in an awkward place and they have to move heavy things to get to it. There's no moaning or groaning. They just get on and do it. Highly recommend.

Boiler repair
Broken boiler. I feel the Trader spent only a short amount of time on the work. Then came back next day at additional cost and found other work that needed doing. I feel a company which charges the sum of money they do for a call out need to spend more time on the work.

We understand that the initial engineer that attended on the Sunday afternoon could have replaced the pump on the same day rather than being rebooked to the following day, the reason for rescheduling for a weekday was to avoid the customer having to pay premium weekend charges for a lengthy drain down & refill of the system, and as a gesture of goodwill a full refund was issued to the customer for this emergency weekend appointment

Replacement of Boiler fan assembly
A C Wilgar installed my Worcester Bosch condensing boiler 11 years ago and they have serviced and done odd repairs since. However, it broke down one morning recently and, despite a prompt replacement of a faulty fan assembly, I was handed a bill. The fan assembly was charged at a price plus VAT. A quick check on the internet showed that this part could have been bought for a lot less. I have queried this with Wilgars but received no response.

As a genuine Worcester Bosch installer, we only supply genuine Worcester-Bosch parts, there are many cheap "Copy" parts available on the internet. We carry genuine parts only, and add a mark up to cover the warranty we put on the part, this is normal business practice. We attended this callout on a Sunday night, and had the boiler operational within the hour. We quoted the cost to supply and fit the part, and we believe the customer gladly accepted this quote at the time of the repair. It's easy to find it cheaper after the event.
