Safety check on electrics in a flat. Identifying and rectifying problems with existing installation.

We called Dan in when we purchased a new flat and wanted the electrics checking. Dan worked in a methodical manner to ensure that all problems were identified. He discussed with me what was needed and then came back very quickly to carry out all necessary work to make the electrics safe. This involved sorting out the fusebox, repairing a ring main and fixing junction boxes, sockets etc. All in all, Dan had a challenge in front of him and rose to the challenge excellently! I will have no hesitation in calling on Dan again and would highly recommend him.

Repairs to burnt out main fuse board switch, replacing sockets/cables, testing appliances.

We were very impressed with the quality of Dan's work and his work ethic. He visited us twice at very short notice, was punctual and communicated well via email/phone to let us know when he could come, what the work would involve and the likely costs. He works quickly, efficiently and effectively and did great jobs fixing everything for us in our flat. If you need an thoroughly reliable, experienced electrician and look no further than here.

Replace timer for immersion heater

We were without hot water and Dan quickly problem solved the issue and had the hot water back in no time. Altogether we were without hot water for less than 12 hours thanks to Dan's speedy service and his kindness in fitting our job in later the same day despite other jobs on the day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Installation of plugs, consumer unit and light fittings

I have no complaints at all - the quote was accurate, professionally put together and the work conducted on schedule and of good quality workmanship. I will definitely use them again should I need any electrical work carried out. Highly recommended!

Remove storage heaters and convert sockets, rewire immersion heater, replace ceiling light fittings, hard-wire in a new cooker and more!

Dan has been here 3 times now and I can't recommend him and his team highly enough. He is reliable, punctual, tidy and a very thorough worker. It's a pleasure to have him in the house. Nothing seems too much trouble, no matter how many extra things I asked him to do. He always double-checks that everything is as it should be before leaving. I will be asking him back to do more work very soon.

Checked light circuit and fittings after unexplained fuse blown. Checked electric shower.

As well as checking everything was safe, helped track down non standard fuse. Also gave some good advice on the electric shower. Very helpful and reasonable on the price. Definitely will use again.

Friendly and helpful - until now. Dan has not contacted me at all - his wife has phoned me twice and said the fob was on order. This was about a month ago.

Response from DC Electrical:
I am disappointed to hear that the customer was not satisfied in this case, when I left the property last year he was very happy with our work. Since then he has corresponded with Checkatrade to point out a fault (not myself) this was simply getting access to the battery’s inside the remote control for his lights. After numerous calls and 3 visits free of charge we rectified this, the customer then found another fault with lamp condensation both of which we worked with the customer and rectified. I feel we went the extra mile on helping this customer as both were manufacturers faults not the quality of our work. This is noted in our excellent feedback for over one year with many returning customers’. I shall of course take on board any comments to improve and continue to provide a good service to all my customers as I have done to date, and prided myself in over 10 years of trading.
