My name is Geoff Butler, I formed my company 8 years ago and work mainly on my own but have a few specialist tradesmen who work with me when necessary, brick layer, plumber, carpenter etc. I pride myself in providing a first class service and believe that quality workmanship and attention to detail are fundamental to providing this. I am experienced in all aspects of brick paving, shingle drives, patios, landscaping, ornamental walls, ponds, shed bases, all types of fencing, decking, replacing facia, soffit and guttering and re-pointing brick work. Block paving driveway.

Despite a number of unforeseen obstacles discovered below ground the work was carried out very efficiently despite at times the appalling weather. A good job well done.

Lime wash walls of cob house.

The walls were overdue for this work, actually too dry so quite challenging to get the lime wash finish right. Mr Butler also painted the stone section at the bottom of the wall black and the exterior chimney cover. I had half expected Mr Butler to say scaffolding would be needed, therefore pushing the cost right up.

Install chimney cowl.

I asked Mr Butler if he could help quickly. I needed a chimney cowl to stop birds nesting in a chimney they used last year. He said he had a spare cowl and the relevant roof ladder and he actually installed the cowl the same day.

Paint front door and paint and repair porch.

The door and porch were in poor condition. The work was overdue and needed a lot of work to bring it up to scratch. I asked Mr Butler to use heritage paints. The porch is wooden and two of the panels needed replacing and the others repairing. The house is cob and Mr Butler is familiar with using breathable paint on the walls.

The condition was very poor and I was not expecting the frames or sills to be finished to such a high standard.
