Green Retreats began in July 2008 after a combined 19 years experience in all aspects of hard and soft landscaping.

Our extensive knowledge and experience was gained whilst both working for a major Landscaping company with whom we still maintain a good relationship.

We offer free consultation and 3D design.

Richard has extensive knowledge of all aspects relating to hard landscaping.  From basic patios to award winning gardens.

Chris began his career after studying Horticulture at Sparsholt College and has excellent knowledge in all aspects of maintenance and soft landscaping.

Replaced garden fence

I watched the team working in my neighbours property and was impressed at their diligence and high standard of work, often in appalling weather conditions. Chris and Andy subsequently came and replaced a long garden fence for me and I am delighted with the result. They also broke down and removed a large workshop for me which was not part of the orginal project. All 3 are very personable and a pleasure to have working for me and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Garden landscaped and patio built

We were very very impressed with the work completed. We had garden party plans drawn up by a third party who recommended Green Retreats. The quality of the work was excellent and we were consulted during the whole process for any changes to the original plans were discussed with us and their suggestions were right. We are now really enjoying the garden and would recommend Green Retreats. They are busy and you may have to wait longer than you would like for them to be available but it is worth the wait and you can have peace of mind that the job completed will be to a very high quality.

Widening of gravel drive to house and carport with new lawn and borders

This was our second experience of Green Retreats and the standards are still exemplary. Richard and Chris have once again worked wonders and left us with a much more useable and attractive area. Thoroughly recommended.

New patio extending right around Detached Bungalow

We had some reservations about having this work done in the dead of winter but it turned out to be the ideal time . It is now ready to be enjoyed in the Spring. Richard, Chris and Andy are excellent at their Job and work very hard to obtain the best result .Thoroughly recommended

Car port footings and tidy up surrounding area

Green Retreats did a really good job for us during March/April/May of 2011 transforming a large part of our back garden. They were given the opportunity to quote for the twin car port footings and surrounding work at the front of the house. Their quote was acceptable and then they had to dove-tail their work with our Oak Frame Contractor and deal with Building control throughout the process. Everything went to plan even through some challenging weather conditions. They consulted with us throughout and came up with sound advice. Richard and Chris and the team can be totally relied on and service levels go beyond call of duty(looking after dogs, signing for parcels etc while we were out!!!!) 100% recommend them.

Completely landscape new garden

We couldn't have been happier with the results, the guys were absolute stars from start to finish. They foresaw problems and demonstrated excellent knowledge and skill sets throughout. We made several changes to the design as we went along and we were given good advice by the lads, which has resulted in a much better garden. They were clearly keen to do a good job, it is unfortunate that the photos that we've added don't really do the job justice, but if anyone wants to come and see the finished article they are more than welcome. Finally I don't think you could ever meet two nicer guys and nothing ever seemed like a problem to them. I would highly recommend them and even if they're a bit more expensive than other people quoting for your job, I'd go with them, you won't regret it (It looks as though they are going to do quite a large job for my parents now, so that should demonstrate ho highly we rate them).

Complete landscaping of back garden

Our back garden was in a sorry state and needed a complete overhaul, fencing, paving, lawn and extensive pruning. We were very impressed with the detailed estimate Green Retreats gave us and the subsequent work carried out by Richard and Chris was excellent, completely transforming our garden. It was so reassuring having two such reliable, hardworking, efficient and knowledgeable people working for us. They were very friendly, always happy to discuss the work as it progressed. We now have a garden to be proud of. We have already arranged for work to be done on our front garden and have no hesitation in recommending Green Retreats.

We have nothing but good things to say about Richard and Chris. From interpreting our brief into something better than we could have imagined, to their dedication and attention to detail, we couldn't fault their work. They were both courteous, arrived on time and worked hard, despite the awful weather and even into the evenings. We would certainly recommend them to family and friends and will be booking them in to tackle the front garden next year. Even the dog misses them. They did eat their own body weight in hobnobs though.

Total revamp of back garden

Very impressed with Richard and Chris (and Andy too). Always polite and ready to have a laugh they are genuinely nice people. The quality of workmanship is second to none and when the odd problem inevitably arose, a solution was found quickly and professionally. This review is deliberately late in the day to give a balanced view after the initial excitement of having a new garden. No problems have arisen in the intervening months and we are still as impressed and delighted with their work as we were in August last year. Thank you for the great work and the lasting quality.

Complete Re-construction of Rear Garden and Courtyard

After our initial meeting we were invited to view some of the gardens that they had previously completed. From receiving their quote through to the completion of the work proved to be a pleasure. Their experience was put to the test on more than one occasion with the result always exceeding our expectations. We have no hesitation in recommending these guys.
