Green Retreats began in July 2008 after a combined 19 years experience in all aspects of hard and soft landscaping.

Our extensive knowledge and experience was gained whilst both working for a major Landscaping company with whom we still maintain a good relationship.

We offer free consultation and 3D design.

Richard has extensive knowledge of all aspects relating to hard landscaping.  From basic patios to award winning gardens.

Chris began his career after studying Horticulture at Sparsholt College and has excellent knowledge in all aspects of maintenance and soft landscaping.

Car port footings and tidy up surrounding area

Green Retreats did a really good job for us during March/April/May of 2011 transforming a large part of our back garden. They were given the opportunity to quote for the twin car port footings and surrounding work at the front of the house. Their quote was acceptable and then they had to dove-tail their work with our Oak Frame Contractor and deal with Building control throughout the process. Everything went to plan even through some challenging weather conditions. They consulted with us throughout and came up with sound advice. Richard and Chris and the team can be totally relied on and service levels go beyond call of duty(looking after dogs, signing for parcels etc while we were out!!!!) 100% recommend them.

Completely landscape new garden

We couldn't have been happier with the results, the guys were absolute stars from start to finish. They foresaw problems and demonstrated excellent knowledge and skill sets throughout. We made several changes to the design as we went along and we were given good advice by the lads, which has resulted in a much better garden. They were clearly keen to do a good job, it is unfortunate that the photos that we've added don't really do the job justice, but if anyone wants to come and see the finished article they are more than welcome. Finally I don't think you could ever meet two nicer guys and nothing ever seemed like a problem to them. I would highly recommend them and even if they're a bit more expensive than other people quoting for your job, I'd go with them, you won't regret it (It looks as though they are going to do quite a large job for my parents now, so that should demonstrate ho highly we rate them).

Complete landscaping of back garden

Our back garden was in a sorry state and needed a complete overhaul, fencing, paving, lawn and extensive pruning. We were very impressed with the detailed estimate Green Retreats gave us and the subsequent work carried out by Richard and Chris was excellent, completely transforming our garden. It was so reassuring having two such reliable, hardworking, efficient and knowledgeable people working for us. They were very friendly, always happy to discuss the work as it progressed. We now have a garden to be proud of. We have already arranged for work to be done on our front garden and have no hesitation in recommending Green Retreats.

We have nothing but good things to say about Richard and Chris. From interpreting our brief into something better than we could have imagined, to their dedication and attention to detail, we couldn't fault their work. They were both courteous, arrived on time and worked hard, despite the awful weather and even into the evenings. We would certainly recommend them to family and friends and will be booking them in to tackle the front garden next year. Even the dog misses them. They did eat their own body weight in hobnobs though.

Complete Re-construction of Rear Garden and Courtyard

After our initial meeting we were invited to view some of the gardens that they had previously completed. From receiving their quote through to the completion of the work proved to be a pleasure. Their experience was put to the test on more than one occasion with the result always exceeding our expectations. We have no hesitation in recommending these guys.

Second time I've employed Green Retreats to transform a neglected garden space of a rental property. Tenants and neighbours alike were amazed at the results. Past tenants and visitors were taking photographs of the new garden! Lots of good ideas and a high standard of workmanship backed-up by years of experience. Front garden make over

Another fantastic job completed by Green Retreats! In 2009, Green Retreats, completed work on our back garden and we were so impressed, we would not consider any other. Their latest work for us was to change our front garden into a much needed parking area. We needed something practical and what we have now, is another garden to be proud of, incorporating the parking area we needed. As Green Retreats have now worked for us a number of times we really just left them to it! Prior to starting they discussed our requirements (as they do throughout completing the work) and what they have come up with, has again exceeded all of our expectations. Chris and Rich are extremely hard working, polite, professional, trustworthy and very considerate. (They were especially thoughtful with regards to our toddler who hates noise!) Their knowledge, attention to detail and quality of work is exceptional. We already have and will always recommend them.

Design, fencing, levelling and landscaping of private rear garden

Richard and Chris listened to our requirements and planned a stylish solution to the space and gradient available in our rear garden. The works were commenced and completed within the advised time schedule with us being kept informed throughout. Richard and Chris dealt professionally with the two neighbouring properties which the work affected. They were friendly and courteous throughout and were always cheerful and positive despite adverse weather conditions. We would certainly recommend them and will be approaching them again when we are ready to consider works on our front garden.
