Green Side Up Landscapes was founded by Ian Groom who set up the Company after training at Merrist Wood College Guildford.  He studied for a National Certificate in Landscape Construction gaining a double distinction.  He was also voted top student of his year.  All our team are Merrist Wood trained.

At Green Side Up Landscapes we pride ourselves in creating beautiful gardens using the highest standards.  We are happy to work on large or small gardens.  If you don’t want your whole garden remodelled we are happy to undertake construction-only work, for example drives or patios.

New drive at front of house, new fencing, patio, garden path and turf at rear

Ian and Mark worked extremely hard to create a new drive, patio, path and fence for us. We are very pleased with the finished result and would recommend them to anyone thinking of having similar work done. They were very courteous, pleasant and professional throughout and made helpful suggestions as the project developed. We have asked them to quote for some further work we want done and would definitely have them back.

Complete garden reconstruction

New patio area laid, new path, lawn, fences and new back gate with steps built to gate and shed door. Brick wall built to make raised border. Ian and his co-worker Mark worked really hard on our garden. They told us exactly what they were doing all the time. We are really pleased with the work they have done and would certainly use them again and would highly recommend them and their work. The quality of work done is brilliant! Very nice lads!

Front Drive bloc paved and side alley paved.

All the old concrete in the front garden was broken up and removed from site. The ground was leveled and compacted and block paving laid. The flower bed was re designed. The side alley was levelled and paved. Ian did a superb job on our drive. He worked in a very professional manner and always left things clean and tidy at the end of each day. Everything was explained and any questions always answered. Very pleased with the results. Would highly recommend Green Side Up and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Thanks Ian for a fantastic job.

Excavate front lawn and pave with Marshalls drive set

Ian's quote was very fair and in fact he made suggestions that brought the price more in line with our budget without sacrificing the overall effect of the finish. He understood exactly what we wanted and offered good ideas that really enhanced the end product. His workmanship and attention to detail was second to none and must be commended. Each evening the site was left clean and tidy. We would have no hesitation in recommending Green Side Up landscapes and, in fact, have booked them for further work later this year.

Large patio at rear and new drive, border and lawn at front

Very helpful suggestions at the outset to polish our rough design, and flexible with changes as work progressed. Ian and his colleague Mark were painstaking throughout the job and kept us fully informed at all stages. Although rather a large job they finished right on schedule. We are delighted with the finished garden and have received many complimentary comments.

Side access and rear garden patio elevated block paved and re-turf lawn with circular patio

Ian and Mark worked extremely hard in some horrendous weather in November/December. Did excellent job on block paving. Second part of project done in March was the re- turfing and circular patio, which was also expertly done. Ian and Mark's advice on improvements were most welcome. The delivery of materials and removal of garden rubbish was very efficiently undertaken. Overall, very pleased with the work they did, and would definitely recommend this company and would use their services again.
