Replacement of gas fire oxypilot assembly
It took 4 months from initial contact to finally getting the work done (which took about 20 minutes). With no phone calls to keep me informed of what was happening. I had to make numerous phone calls to prompt them and on a few of these calls it appeared the job had just been forgotten.

Response from J D Services:
I'm sorry to hear of the customers dissatisfaction with the replacement of the Oxypilot assembly. However we feel the comments left are rather harsh considering the extra effort we went to with obtaining the part for his gas fire. The fire was obsolete and the manufacturers were no longer trading. Following extensive research by us via various suppliers (which was not charged for) we obtained a part which we were sure would do the job. As the Oxypilot assembly is a vital safety feature of gas fires we were not prepared to compromise the safety of one of our customers by carrying out a substandard job by installing an incorrect part. The part was duly ordered but unfortunately the suppliers had to specially order the unit as it was not a stock item. During this period the customer was kept up to date via phone calls and messages left when no answer. The other option was to replace the fire but the customer was willing to wait for the part.
