Refurbished two rooms.
Simon refurbished two rooms one of which was down to 400 year old bricks, the other one needed a new ceiling. All the work completed was of excellent standard and we would have every confidence in having him again.

Simon and his assistant, Sean, were organised by our bathroom installer. They arrived early, did a great job, charged the price quoted, and were very tidy. Simon and Sean were friendly and hard working. I will definitely contact them if I need any further plastering done. Thank you!

Removing artex and flat plastering ceilings.
Our daughter her husband and son are moving to Hedge End from London. The house they have purchased had artex ceilings and they wanted smooth plaster. Simon was recommended to us by friends and before he could start on our daughters house we decided to have the artex removed in our kitchen (other rooms had previously been done some years before). The job was completed entirely to our satisfaction on time and we were really pleased that we had picked Simon to carry out the work in our daughters house. Simon started the work at 7.45am on the Tuesday after Easter and completed the lounge, three bedrooms, a bathroom and the hall stairs and landing by Thursday with his assistant Sean. Not only was the work to the highest standard but he rectified unconnected problems which became apparent (loose dry lining on the stairs). He also suggested how to remove a badly built loft hatch and replace it, even lending me his tools to do it. He is very knowledgeable about many building aspects and gives advice freely. Besides all that he is a very decent bloke! He makes as little mess as possible having sheeted everything and clears up afterwards. We would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone.

I would highly recommend Simon. He was giving very good quality workmanship at a fair price and less than the original quotation. All the rooms that he worked in were well protected with ground sheets and plastic sheeting before starting work. Very reliable in his time keeping and clears up the work area at the end of the day. An excellent experience from a nice professional.

Boarding and plastering bedroom ceiling.
I was exceedingly pleased with the job Simon did. We have a Victorian house with a bowed ceiling. Simon quoted us on the best and worst case scenario dependant on what he found when he began the job. On inspection he found the floor joists (whilst secure) had slipped. He kept me informed of his findings and explained the solution. I felt in very safe hands at all times and the finished job looks fantastic! He is also a very personable character who I felt I could trust.

Simon quoted to plaster and redecorate the lounge, dining room, hall, stairs and landing. This also included fitting an engineered wood floor in the lounge, hall and dining room. Simon's quote was the most competitive received by us. We found Simon to be very personable and meticulous in his work ethics which shows through in his very high standards. It is obvious that he takes pride in his job and we cannot fault the work he has done. Simon was very helpful and readily offered advice on issues that arose during the project. Having small children in the house Simon was very conscious of the impact his work might have and was always careful to make the rooms clean and safe before he left each day. We are very happy with the finished product and would fully recommend Palace Plastering to anyone undertaking a job of any size.

Called the day prior to commencing work to re-confirm. Arrived punctually, worked industriously and completed the first phase ahead of schedule. Always kept things tidy, plaster can be very dusty. Very pleased with the results, now for the painting!
