Driveway block paved/bathroom renovation.

Ray and crew an excellent job on my driveway/block paving and also renovated my bathroom to a very high standard. Excellent work - will use R B Builders from now onwards - A+.

The work Ray carried out was to the highest standard and he paid extra special attention to detail. The end result is marvellous. He has completely transformed my old run down kitchen. His carpentry skills are excellent, as are his plastering and many other skills. I felt confident throughout the job. He methodically cleaned up as he went along. He arrived on time every day, and at the end completely cleared the site leaving no rubbish whatsoever. I cannot praise Ray highly enough. I took on board his helpful comments throughout, but he was also happy to provide exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend Ray to friends and family. I would also want him back to do other jobs for me.

First time I've met Ray who was recommended by another tradesman. Very impressed with all aspects of his work and manor, prompt and friendly. Quoted by phone as I was able to explain what was needed. Ray gave a maximum including materials, the final bill was actually less. The standard of his work was impressive and he gave advice regarding another matter freely. Would highly recommend him and will certainly be calling on his expertise again in the future. Will also be recommending to family and friends without hesitation.

Repaired ceiling, redecorated entire kitchen

Ray came to the rescue! Huge leak occurred from bathroom through kitchen ceiling two days before Christmas. Called an emergency plumber who was next to useless and advised me to use a hammer to go through the celing and repair the leak myself. Called Ray who came round the next morning despite finishing for Xmas. He sorted the leak allowing my family to bathe over the holidays! Ray also provided a very reasonable quote which was accepted by my insurance company. Two weeks later, Ray had come in and repaired the ceiling which had considerable water damage, replaced all the ceiling insulation, and redecorated the entire kitchen to a much better standard than it was before. Very happy. I can't recommend Ray highly enough. He's always tidy, reasonable with his rates and goes that extra mile to sort out unexpected glitches. I have used him several times over the last couple of years and have never been disappointed (have also recommended to family who have also used him). I'll be in touch with him again!

Took out 2 chimneys through whole house.

Ray put in 2 sets of gallows brackets in loft. Took out chimney stacks through bedrooms and downstairs, and plastered wall. Lot of structural work made rooms bigger, great hard working team, over the moon with the work.

Ray stripped off roof and built loft conversion and putting in all steel beams great tradesman. Excellent work would highly recommend RB Builders, will be using them on 2nd phase of job. I would recommend this company.

Painting and re-tiling front of house.

Excellent workmanship with initiative. When there was a glitch in re-tiling due to original build, the lip above bay window was reduced to eliminate gaps in tiling. Professional job.

New porch, banisters, study entrance, painting/decorating multiple rooms

2nd time this year we've hired Ray, and certainly not the last. Earlier this year Ray undertook major work on our kitchen/garage etc. This time Ray completed the porch he had prepared (we were waiting on glasswork), redesigned our staircase (new oak banisters/spindles etc) and painted / decorated / made-good 4 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms and the entire hall/stairs. We left Ray to complete the work while we went on holiday, knowing from experience that we would return to the completed work with any needed finishing touches completed quickly. Our house is fast becoming the "house that Ray built!". I would happily recommend Ray for a broad range of building/decorating work.
