Having reviewed 4 quotes for Solar PV and Battery, Windsor Solar was 2nd lowest in cost/kWp.  Matthew discussed his quote in detail and fine tuned the design ending up with the lowest cost and better value/kWp.  We have a 16 panel solar array (5.25kWp) and battery that charges with surplus solar power.  Battery and control hardware were fitted neatly in a hall cupboard.  Matthew and Carl were both timely and neat.  One item was faulty and replacement delayed the final commissioning but throughout the process Matt was very communicative.  There was no pressure for upfront payments, but scheduled over 3 instalments.

The installation was performed with great care and thoroughness with minimum disruption.  We are very happy with the battery which enables us to use more of the electricity generated by our solar panels.  I would recommend Windsor Solar as they are knowledgeable and competent.

Installing and testing Tesla Powerwall battery

Replacement and upgrade of main fuseboards in the house and installation of mainline surge protectors - including testing and certification work.   Matt from Windsor Solar is very diligent and meticulous about his work.  He ensures that his work is the highest quality and when he identifies an issue, he explains the impact of it and what is required to address it.  We are left with confidence that this is electical work well done.  Thanks Matt.

Replacement of main house fuse boards

Windsor Solar has worked very closely with us to plan and recommend the best solution for our solar and power storage needs.  They installed solar panels approximately 3 years ago and this year we added the Tesla PowerWall.  This was the first installation for Windsor Solar of the new backup PowerWalls, so we did spend some time on the phone with Tesla (Tesla documentation is not great).  However, the results have been impressive and we have been 99% off grid for majority of days since go-live.  Obviously this will decrease as we head into winter, but it is a great bit of kit.  Highly recommend!
