  I'm very happy with the work Ty carried out. Initially, we've had some communication issues as he's not been very responsive, but thankfully we managed to iron out the details. He's done a very good job and even offered to order and fit an additional piece that made a huge difference to the final effect. I've had few other doors to fix when he returned and he's dealt with the job in a professional manner. Worth noting that his prices are very competitive and in my estimation, more than fair. I'd certainly recommend him - but would advise to work on initial communication as he's a decent guy.

  LVT flooring installation

  Phil came to install LVT flooring and skirting (I painted it myself). He was very professional throughout, transparent with pricing and he accepts card payments which was reassuring. I made a mistake with ordering the wrong quantity of skirting boards and he agreed to return a week later to install it once I got shipment. He also installed end and bottom panels on my kitchen cabinets ( I'm yet to paint those). Overall, I am highly satisfied apart from the fact that the beading installed around the fireplace came apart and I've been promised a date for getting it fixed, but am yet to hear back

  Jonathan was very professional, on time and very easy to communicate with. He offered professional service and opinion and actually saved me some money, suggesting I do certain things rather than others where he could easily have got paid more if he wanted to.   Kitchen countertops upgrade

  I employed Alex to install new countertops. He and his sister were very professional and cleaned very well after themselves; also provided helpful advice on the type of material I should use. Due to misunderstanding, I had to place another order so he had to return to complete the job, but otherwise I'm pleased. The only thing I would say is that he did not consult with me before final installation, using 2-piece upstand where 1 piece should be used so I'm not too happy about that. I'd suggest discussing all wishes in advance, but also for Alex to check in before making final decisions. Thanks

  New bathroom installation

  I employed Ray after comparing various quotes. He provided a quote and I accepted, but then he demanded £200 more for tile installation after informing me that the design I have chosen would take him longer to complete. We'd agreed he'd complete the job in 12 days and he said he couldn't do the design I wanted (herringbone) because he understood I wanted brickwork design - even though the actual design was never discussed. Because he already began the job, I felt pressured into agreeing to pay him more because he said he'd lose work by staying longer, but he actually finished in 11 days.

  I texted the contractor on 15/6/24 after receiving their details from Checkatrade, but no one even bothered to get in touch and it has been several days since then. I can certainly understand that they may be busy on other projects, but it does not explain why they could not simply respond. It does beg a question as to how they managed to receive so many positive reviews.
