  I've already reviewed Joe's fantastic work but Checkatrade thinks I haven't so here's another. Joe did a fantastic job for us and as I said in my other review, my wife and I are now getting to the age where doing these kind of jobs is no longer easy. Joe did a first class job, he was tidy, efficient and did exactly what we wanted of him. What more can you ask? A*, 10/10, 5 stars.

  Our bedroom desperately needed decorating and we’ve got to the age where these kinds of jobs are no longer easy. So I got JL Decorating in to do the work for me. Joe is a very able and amiable young man and as we already had the paint he was more than happy to use what we provided. What amazed me was that something that would have taken me a week/10 days to do, he did in 2 days and it looks fantastic. It has given us the canvas to do the remainder and create the bedroom that we want. A+, five stars, 10/10.

  Removing a lot of old tins of paint

  Andrew called me on the Saturday afternoon after I'd asked for quotes. He said that he could be with me in a couple of hours and th price he quoted was very competitive. So he was hired. He turned up at the exact time he said he would down the second it seemed and gleefully took away all the old stuff we needed to get rid of. Crackin' service Gromit!!

  Sorting Out Cowboy Aerial Install

  Jamie did a magnificent job of sorting out the aerial that a bunch of cowboys put up some time ago for my 90yo father-in-law. He was able to set up cabling from one aerial to 3 TVs and make some use of existing cabling that Virgin had managed to cut. He also found out why my in-laws had such poor reception; the signal was TOO strong if you can believe it. He tested the reception on all sets and my recently widowed mother-in-law is absolutely delighted. He kindly removed and disposed of an old satellite dish for her too. What more can you ask from a trademen?! Outstanding.

  Fit 2 New Quantum Storage Heaters

  Well, what can you say about Paddy and his sidekick Martin? Both of them are brilliant electricians and I came across them by chance a couple of months ago when they were installing heaters in a house near me. I explained what I wanted and they both surveyed the job and explained to me what would happen. They were clear and concise, and helpful with the ins and outs of what was needed. On the day they turned up on time, did the work and cleared up after themselves. I'm sure the work area ended up a little cleaner after they finished compared to before. Very highly recommended.

  Replace exterior wall socket and change cupboard isolator switch to a double socket

  Brilliant! James and Steve got here on time as they said they would and carried out the work very quickly, but with the wealth of experience these two have it shouldn't be too surprising. They did exactly what I asked for and there was no mess or fuss about the work. There's nothing more I can say really other than if you need an electrician or need some electrical work done these are the chaps to use.

  Removing old loft insulation and flooring and replace with modern insulation to 300mm and raised flooring

  Absolutely brilliant! We had a very bad case of condensation in the loft following cavity wall insulation (done by another company). Initially on phoning Tom he gave us very good and clear advice on dealing with the damp. We booked him for a quote which came out very reasonable. Ours is only a small loft but even so the quote was for 1 man and 1 day's work, which surprised me. Tom arrived and was very professional in his work ethic and completed on time. SurePro is highly recommended and I'm amazed at what Tom has done.

  Complete replacement of doors and windows

  The chaps at U-Fit and We-Fit did a brilliant job from start to finish. Callum and Jack were the two young men who did the work and their ethos throughout was excellent. They removed the old windows and doors and kept any dust and rubbish from the removal to a minimum. They installed the new windows and doors and I was expecting to have to repaint around the edges where the old ones had been taken out, but no, everything was finished off to a very high standard and both my wife and I are extremely pleased with the result. 11/10!

  Gearbox replacement for uPVC door

  Darren turned up when we had a real problem with our uPVC front door lock mechanism which had fallen apart it seemed. He turned up in short order as we are close by, and fully repaired the door lock for us and made sure the area was clean and tidy when he finished. I couldn't ask for a better tradesperson.

  Fitted exterior cupboard door

  Brilliant job, and very satisfied with the work carried out. Young Mattie who came to do the work, had to trim down the door to fit as our size door is no longer made. Lovely close fitting door now and because there was a lot of sawdust etc at the end, Mattie cleared it up and took the old one away for us too. On top of all that the weather was foul and he carried on with a smile on his face. I can’t fault him. Graham, the boss, kept me informed all the time as he was trying to source a suitable door to use prior to installation. Brilliant company and can’t recommend them highly enough.
