  water leak in downstairs ceiling that originated from upstairs toilet. new parts fitted to toilet.

  problem occured on Friday morning. immediate call back after putting ad on checkatrade. the earliest they could attend was Monday morning. I was quoted £195 + vat to do the leak detection. I was advised that it it was a minor repair, this would be covered in this price, for larger repair I would get additional quote. over the weekend I myself discovered source of leak, so when they arrived, I was able to direct them to where repair was needed. they went off to Screwfix to get few parts for toilet and returned to install them. work done in approximately 1 hour 15. The final bill was £350 (including vat). I was happy with the work they did and good communication but I consider that a high price to pay for a relatively quick job.

  Caws quoted a competitive price for the work. Did the actual job very quickly. Was slightly surprised when a start date was still to be confirmed and he turned up suddenly at weekend, while we were out, to begin the job by removing the rotten beams.

  Date agreed 3 months in advance for when the work would be completed and they actually started a day earlier. They took 3 days to complete the work. The work was done to a professional standard and we were very impressed with the appearance of the new guttering / fascias / soffits. Site was kept tidy.
