  Nice guy but tiling and finish not up to standard

  We found Balvin amiable and tidy but the quality of his work was patchy, particularly tiling and grouting. We had to ask Balvin to replace a number of tiles which were fitted unevenly, chipped or cut incorrectly leaving large gaps between the top of the wall tiles and the ceiling. I had to replace a number of tiles myself over two weekends and re-do most of the grouting. Balvin also couldn't cut the laminate countertop we supplied. He was going to arrange for somebody else to do this but at an additional cost to us. I decided to finish the job myself which led to a long delay completing.

  Fixed intermittent fault on boiler.

  Mark was extremely courteous, open and honest about what he considered was needed to fix my boiler. He had to return several times as the job required a process of eliminating one potential fault after the next. He bought several new parts but refused to take any payment from me for either the parts or labour until the job was completed and my boiler was fully back up and running. Mark always turned up when he said he would and he quickly helped resolve what could have been a major stress for me and my family. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and neighbours.   2 new panels and 2 new posts fitted to mend fence plus 2 retainer boards to hold soil.

  Work done to good standard, very neat and old panels taken away. Ben recommended fitting a concrete post for better value/durability but also listened to us and understood our concerns to limit costs. Ben was prompt and polite and I already recommended him to neighbours. We liked that Ben provided a quote in person when he came to assess the work. We find tradespeople (that tend to be less trustworthy) do not quote in person when this should be possible for a straightforward job because they want to quote a silly price and don't have the gall to do it in person.
