  Live up to their name!

  Our oven suddenly stopped heating up one day last week. The same day that I made the request for help, I had a call from the engineer who came round within the hour and diagnosed the problem quickly and without fuss. I have only not given a rating for workmanship as we are yet to use the oven, but I’ve no reason to believe it is not fixed properly (the engineer tested it before leaving anyway).

  Roof repair

  Dean replied promptly to our Checkatrade request for help with a damaged roof. He arrived on the day he said he would, calling around 30 mins before to check we were home, which was appreciated. We haven’t had any bad weather since the repair, so I can’t truly evaluate the quality of the fix - but I’ve no reason to doubt it’s been done properly.

  Main bedroom repaint

  This was the second job Vitalie did for us in just a couple of months. We decided to have our bedroom repainted, one wall a feature wall. As with the last job, Vitalie (and a team member on the second day) did a very neat and thorough job. Only took 2 days, even though he’d initially thought it might take 3. All this with him having hurt his back midway through too! Very pleased with the end result.

  Bathroom re-paint

  Vitalie was very thorough and incredibly precise. We’d had some work done which hadn’t planned out, and he’s fixed it for us. To boot - he washed his own coffee cup up! I really did not expect him to, but this demonstrated the minimal mess/effort left behind.

  Paving outside front of house

  We had been searching for a couple of months for someone to do the paving outside the front of our house and each time we got a quote the tradesperson would disappear off the face of the earth. Think the job was too small for most. AYD were quick to respond to us at all times and had the work done within about a week (from quote to work complete) - outstanding! There were 3 men that did the job for us - always very courteous, kept us fully informed throughout, and did a fantastic job. Very happy all-in-all.

  Ali was extremely polite and courteous and explained the work he was carrying out as he did it. I only marked down slightly on reliability and time keeping as he missed an agreed appointment on the prior day without contacting us, but he made up for this the next day and apologised for not making the initial appointment.
