  clearance, removal of soil and existing vegetation, structural repairs to existing fence.

  I can't fault the lads. it was very heavy work but all done efficiently and speedily. when vegetation was removed I realised the fence wasn't in a good state. Rather than replace the fence they suggested adding another couple of fence posts. This saved me a fair bit and has probably given the fence another five to ten years of life. Very happy.

  Major re-wiring of kitchen

  This was a major job, moving a kitchen from one room to another, working alongside kitchen fitters and plumbers. The work involved the installation of eight double sockets, new wiring for double oven, induction hob, extractor fan, storage heater and the installation of concealed worktop lighting. It also involved the removal and making safe of old electrical wiring in the old kitchen. It included full testing of all completed work and issuing of relevant statutory certificates. As always, Jeff's work was first class, Clean, tidy, reliable and good value. He made a major project seem simple

  Rewiring lights and installing new 13 Amp sockets in hall, porch and upstairs bedrooms.

  We asked Jeff to come and do some electrical work prior to decorating our hall stairs and landing. This involved adding a light fitting to the hall and replacing a light upstairs. He also fitted new sockets in the hall and front porch. Neither of these jobs were simple as it’s an old house and both aspects required long cable runs as well as drilling through thick walls. As ever, Jeff was meticulously thorough, efficient and very competitively priced. He cleaned up so well that my wife wondered how much he would charge for coming back every week to do the hoovering .

  Re-felting large flat roof and repairs to gutters

  Excellent service from Michael Willis. It was great to deal with a business who came out and gave a competitive quotation when they said they would and kept in touch to arrange a convenient time to carry out the work. It's a large area of roof, mostly flat over garage but also partly a sloping roof. Lots of complicated corners etc. Everything was done in two days. Excellent service. No pressurised sales. Polite, helpful and efficient. I recommend Michael Willis and will get them back when I need other work done.

  Emergency callout following power failure.

  We had a power cut in the house. After realising that it was local to us and not the power network I called Jeff. He was able to rearrange his other work and come to us within about an hour. He quickly identified the problem and carried out the necessary repairs in minutes. As always, he was quick to respond and carried out the work efficiently and at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this business to anyone.

  Fitting new microwave controlled motion sensitive lights to stairway and common parts in apartment building in Kendal. Also installing and providing power supply to Ring security doorbell to apartment in Kendal.

  Jeff fitted motion sensitive lights to provide at lighting system to the common parts of our small apartment building. He also fitted and installed a power supply to a new Ring internet doorbell so we can now answer the door in Kendal when we are in Newcastle. I've used Jeff on many occasions over the last ten years. It's rare to find a reliable and skilled tradesman who always turns up when he says he will, always responds to calls and messages, always clears up after himself and always does a great job. Jeff is a perfectionist and will never leave a job until he is 100% happy with it.

  Fixed Immersion Heater.

  We had a problem with our immersion. No hot water! Jeff came round really quickly and fixed it for us without any fuss. He cleared up after himself really well. Jeff is always the first person we call for any electrical work. He usually answers his phone straight away and always gets back to you promptly if you leave a message. He's reliable, honest and very good value.

  We've used Jeff for all sorts of jobs over the years and can't fault him. He always turns up when he says he will and is the most thorough and efficient electrician we have ever used. His work is neat and tidy and he takes real care to make sure his work is not only safe but that all his wires and trunking are tidy and everything is well labelled. He always cleans up after himself really well. Today he left our understairs cupboard much cleaner than it was before he started!
