  Combi Boiler repair

  Very poor experience. We contacted Twin Sun regarding intermittent hot and cold water from showers, baths and taps. Before the visit, I had already noticed the boiler pressure was high at 2.4 bar and raised this as a possible cause. The engineer appeared unsure, carried out limited checks and suggested a faulty heat plate. We paid £94 for this opinion and were then quoted £725 for a replacement. He was also prepared to leave without correcting the pressure and only did so when asked. Since reducing it, the issue has disappeared. A second engineer later confirmed the heat plate was fine.
