  Do not use!

  Sadly, for the first time in 20 odd years of using (often on repeated basis) Checkatrade contractors, I have to leave a negative review. Shannon visited and we agreed, end April: 3 hrs work on a Wednesday, every other week, plus cost and the cutting per visit. Then she immediately changed the day to Monday (okay, that could still work re bin collection day.) Next, they didn't have any electric hedge trimmers, a rake, ladder etc, so I had to make mine available. Then, repeated re-scheduling during the day they were due to attend. And no way 3 hrs work when they did. So many excuses. Gave up!

  Just Brill!

  Superb work. Completed on time. For best price in the circumstances. Not the lowest price I was quoted, but the lowest (ie. the one below this) was quoted by a contractor who couldn't be bothered to come to the property and look at the work required. In short, Ben's a star. And his team. Thoroughly recommend. And I'll be back in contact to sort the patio paving in due course.

  Urgent fence panel replacement and gate securement

  I lost a fence panel in the recent storms. Urgently required replacement because it abuts a public footpath. And not straightforward because the panel was adjoined to my gate onto the footpath, which had been knocked out of kilter and wouldn't close properly. Michael was a 'knight in shining armour'! Came to look at the issue on the day I put the urgent request through Checkatrade. Taking a detour from his last job of the day to do so. All fixed within 48 hours of my enquiry. Panel replaced and gate realigned with an extra secure. Everything left clean and tidy. Can't recommend highly enough.
