  Avoid 0800 HomeFix Ltd, it's a scam

  We paid £120 for a 15-minute engineer visit to diagnose a toilet seat issue and shower problems. The engineer wrongly said we’d need to remove the toilet to change the seat, we fixed it ourselves afterwards. They then gave outrageous quotes: £4,497 for a water softener (Harvey Water Softeners later quoted less for a better product) and £3,318 for showers/taps. Another plumber confirmed their diagnosis was wrong and quoted much less. Despite our complaints, they refused a refund. Charging £120 for bad advice and inflated quotes is a scam. Save your money, use a reputable local plumber instead
