  They Built the Kitchen and Survived Our Jokes

  Mike and Dave turned our small kitchen from "making do" into a space we genuinely enjoy using. Mike produced CAD plans and a 3D preview within 24 hours, communication was excellent throughout, and any tweaks were handled without fuss. Both were cheerful, patient and equipped with the essential trade skill of putting up with our sense of humour. The finished result is superb and we'd happily use MK Carpentry again.

  Blocked toilet

  I was slightly confused when using Checkatrade as I thought I had requested quotes for unblocking our toilet. Optimum were the first company to contact me after I used the form and one of their plumbers arrived at the time I had requested. However, instead of just taking a look and quoting me for the work he unblocked the loo within about 15 minutes of arriving and before I had realised they were not just quoting. That being the case I obviously had to pay for the work but I also had to cancel another tradesman that contacted me, which was a little unfair on them.
