  Good effort, small problem later

  After examining the area around the kitchen sink, he felt that the tap was leaking and the leak was dripping down the back of the countertop. He replaced the tap and sealed the countertop area. This work was done in May, but I've subsequently found a small leak from the pipes under the sink, it wasn't really hurting me but it did evolve into another leak in the ceiling of the downstairs flat.

  Had some work done a year ago. They replaced and fitted a douche hose among other things. Now it's leaking again they want to charge another call out + VAT as its a couple of days over 12 months. I never complained when I had to reschedule another couple of days when the plumber didn't notice the taps were different to that of what he was expecting or when I had to call him back when it was signed off due to drip at the back of the sink.

  promptly contact, plumber arrived relatively quickly and found the leak. Repair took a couple of hours, but kept me informed along the way.

  I posted about a blocked drain that was flooding. I was quoted 100 plus vat for next day call out, which included labour for an hour. The problem clearly required drain clearage at quote stage. The engineer arrived and informed me that the job would require drain clearage, and that this would cost 450 pounds plus vat. So I have paid 120 pounds total, for someone to come and look at the problem as I described it, and confirm it existed. I will not be progressing with the work, nor will I use this company again. The engineer was very polite and apologetic, but the quote was dishonest.
