  Blocked bath drainage

  Blockage in bath drainage after a childs flannel got sucked in (dont ask!). I was at work so partner contacted better drains. Came out quickly and stayed for about 45 mins trying to unblock. Couldnt do so and charged £180 on the door, advised flooring and tiles would need to come up. When i came home, i called head office as i found this bill very high for not sorting, it was later refunded by 50%. They said theyd get the technicians to call me to explain the issue/ difficulties further which never happened. Called a local plumber who cleared in 20 mins, no flooring removed and was cheaper

  Good morning, Thank you for your feedback, Matthew. We’re sorry we couldn’t resolve the blockage on this occasion. Our engineer spent around 45 minutes attempting to remove what appeared to be a flannel lodged in the pipework. The charge would normally have been more than the £180 invoiced, and we still reduced this by 50% as a gesture of goodwill. We also didn’t charge for the use of our specialist CCTV camera or high-pressure water jetting equipment. We are drainage specialists, not plumbers, so our expertise differs. We appreciate your feedback.

  Get a quote first

  Drain unblocked. However, I was charged over £400 for a relatively quick job. I was changed for their own tools and equipment use. The camera charge was removed after I challenged the bill. Be careful to get a quote before getting this company in.

Unfortunately, this information was not passed on to the landlord. The bath drain issue had been ongoing for around two months, with multiple companies unable to resolve it. Using our specialist equipment and expertise, we quickly diagnosed and cleared the blockage. We appreciate your acknowledgment that the issue was resolved and recommend requesting a full quotation upfront to avoid any misunderstandings.

  Excellent service

  We required an urgent survey to establish mains sewer connection as part of a house move. Alex responded in minutes, the survey was completed within 48 hours on Friday and we had received the report by Monday lunchtime. Excellent service which we would not hesitate to recommend - many thanks.

  Drain unblocked

  Had the men to come out to unblock our drain as had serious problems with toilet and bathroom. After they had finished the job showed me on the camera where the problem was and how clean the pipes are now. They are very polite and helpful, and give you the information on what can cause this over the years so thank you and I would highly recommend this company.
