The worst experience I could have. B&J Builders signed a contract to complete the Brickwork and Blockwork (Labour Only Contract) dated 7 May 2026 relating to a property in Sutton Coldfield. The trade received 67% of the contract value in cash while the actual work done was 34% when the trade left the work on 21st May 2026. Its been more than a month, the trade did not come back on work despite repeated broken promises. Building Control also identified defective DPC installation requiring remedial work. It has caused me not only huge financial damages but also a lot of mental distress.

Jake & Ben completed an extension to a block paving driveway, built a wall around the driveway & also installed a wooden porch with walls. Quality of workmanship was excellent and completed to high standard. Communication was good throughout and never left us waiting for answers to any questions we had. We’re very pleased with the quality of their work and with the finished result. We would use Jake & Ben for future projects and recommend them to others who may need work done.

Required an external door removing, bricking up and plastering, along with a fireplace. B&J responded in good time, came out to quote in person and priced competitively. I got a good feeling about them straight away and their work was 10/10. They used brick for the outside and block for the inside, matching the existing cavity wall. the brick matching was like for like and other than the age difference its indistinguishable from the existing wall. I would 100% recommened the lads to anyone. Really impressed with the standard of work and the work ethic. Great job all round.

Very good job very pleased with work carried out

We are very happy with the wall Ben and Jake built at the bottom of our drive. Great communication and they were very tidy. Would definitely use them again for any future work we needed doing.
