  Damp Investigation

  Would not recommend

  Very disappointed with this company. I asked them to do a damp survey on a house I was interested in purchasing, at a cost of £600. The vendor was there during the survey. They said the surveyor spent 15 minutes at the property and didn't take any moisture readings. The results of the survey said there wasn't any damp in a room when my level 3 builders survey said there was significant damp and elevated moisture levels. I asked them if the seller's version of events was correct; that was five weeks ago and I am still awaiting a response. I do not recommend using this company.

  Dry Rot Treatment

  Do not touch with a bargepole

  Do not touch Bramley and Stone with a bargepole. Their incompetence knows no bounds, and I paid a heavy price for employing them to remove dry rot which was attacking the floors and walls of my bathroom, small toilet and adjoining bedroom. Do not believe the founder and principal surveyor Mike Walker’s claptrap that he “provides honest, skilled and sympathetic care for period properties.” He carried out an inspection in August 2025 and quoted a price of £3000 to remove the affected timber and plaster and treat them with a fungicide.   Rising Damp

  Fantastic Company

  We recently moved into a property in Hartley Wintney with a number of different damp issues. Mike came out and took the time to talk through the issues and provided an upfront cost. Jay and the team were fantastic whilst the work was being carried out - they took time to answer all our questions and nothing was too much trouble. The work is of the highest standard, the house was spotless after the work was completed and the team were friendly and courteous. Bramley & Stone clearly understand older properties and it shows - we are delighted with the results and will be using them again.

  Damp Investigation

  Highly recommend this company!

  The whole team were really professional to deal with, right from the initial inquiry to signing off the works. Our project turned out to be a bigger one than we all thought due to hidden water ingress. A plan B was put in place with up front pricing for the extra work involved and the works were still completed in the original timeframe. The site operatives worked really hard and so did our senior surveyor! Really happy and grateful to have our living room safe again! Would happily recommend Bramley and stone!
