❌ Very disappointed with Chris the gas engineer.
I hired him to install a system boiler in my 5-bed HMO and paid a £2,500 deposit. After removing the old boiler, he failed to resolve a key issue with the stop valve, then changed the plan entirely to a combi boiler — which wasn’t suitable. He then walked off the job, leaving the property with no heating and 2 tenants inside, and kept £735.92 from my deposit (£600 labour + £135.92 materials). For incomplete work, this charge is excessive. Unprofessional and unreliable. I’m now considering legal action. Avoid unless you’re prepared to manage risk — and never pay a deposit upfront. 👎

I had to call the police regarding this man and his harassment. Two other tradesmen walked off the job the someday due to his behaviour. I returned his deposit less the work I had done, charging the going rate. I also itemised all parts used.

Fitting a boiler and radiator
Can't thank Chris enough. Very good price. He turned up right on time. Working the whole day without a break. Cleaning up afterwards. Very polite at all times My old boiler was 26yrs old thanks to Chris my bills will be lower. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending Chris to anyone who needs a job doing. Thank you Chris.
