We had damp in the wall of a ground floor room. Rising damp was diagnosed, and Damp Stop covered the rear wall with a damp proof treatment, and injected a new dpc in December of last year. We were then away until mid March, and there was still damp in the wall, so we contacted Damp Stop, as they had given us a 10 year guarantee. Since then, I have called them countless times, and had virtually no response. They called round once, giving an hour's notice, but as we were out, we missed them. Their guarantee is worthless, and if this is the sort of outfit that Checkatrade approves...

Martin, this review is completely unfair. You confirmed to us via text message that the wall we treated is now dry and that the damp appears to be coming from the adjoining wall. This clearly shows that the work we carried out was successful.
We also attempted on several occasions to revisit the property to inspect the issue further, but unfortunately each appointment was cancelled or postponed due to other commitments.
We always aim to resolve any concerns professionally and fairly, which makes this review particularly disappointing and misleading.
