  I needed an outside tap replacing as a valve had failed.

  This one of many plumbing and heating jobs Iain has done for me. He has always been brilliant -professional and knowledgeable, always explaining exactly what needed to be done and why. I will continue to use him and would recommend E24 without hesitation.

  Emergency repair

  Having called the insurance company to report an emergency mains water leak inside the house they sent a plumbing engineer who was not authorised to effect repairs! Iain was on site within a couple of hours. He quickly diagnosed the issued, dug out the surrounding area, cut and replaced the faulty piece of pipework, tidied up and left us with water which we had not had all day since turning off the mains water supply. The whole repair from start to finish took just a few hours whilst providing a professional, efficient and knowledgeable service. Many thanks E24 for being superheroes!

  Gas Safety Checks - CP12

  To carry out Gas Safety check. Turn on Gas Valve

  E24 had checked it and showed fire was on before leaving plus issued a Gas safety Cert. But later that evening when attempted to use fire found it would not light and Switch was extremely stiff. So fire was not usable at all.

  Customer contacted us on 23/1/22 to request a Landlords/home owners gas SAFETY certificate informing us that British Gas had serviced and condemned the gas fire until parts were fitted. I attended on the 14/2/22 to find that parts had been fitted by who I can only presume is a non gas safe registered engineer. I conducted my SAFTEY checks as laid out by gas safe and the manufacturer’s instructions in the presence of the customer and issued the correct certification. Customer contacted us on the 22/2/22 to report a problem with the gas fire. I attended on 28/2/22 and found the ignition mechanism was faulty, I repaired this and also adjusted the burner pressure to be thorough and I explained this to The checks carried out were for safety only and does not now make me responsible for the ongoing mechanical operation of the gas fire. The certificate issued was in relation to the safe operation of the gas fire. As the fault to the gas fire was not related to Safety check’s carried out the visit is chargeable and this was also explained to the customer

  Bathroom Fitter

  Complete bathroom refit and also the removal, replacement and re-siting of central heating boiler

  Iain did an absolutely brilliant job, with great attention to detail, excellent management of other trades, and a positive solution-finding attitude to any challenges which came along. The bathroom was stripped right back and completely tanked. The finish looks superb and functions very well. The boiler move - from the kitchen to the loft - was not easy but really well managed. He cleaned up probably better than we do, and to cap it all is a lovely guy to have around the house for a while. An excellent job, and I would highly recommend him.
