Also a double fused switch to be replaced with one I provided. The supervisor carried out a survey of the works and estimated the said work to take no more than 3 hours at £50/hour, I accepted. The bill was for 5 hours. When I phone to query the bill , the supervisor who did the initial evaluation told me that it was just an estimate. An estimate that went for a maximum of 3 hours to 5 hours. How can a so called professional be so far away in his estimate just for 2 single sockets! I was initially billed for an aborted visit. The technician turns up un-announced, with no prior notification!!

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that your experience wasn’t as satisfactory as you would like. Our supervisor carried out the survey with a representative of yours as you were not present. The budget cost was based on the information provided to us. We stressed that we couldn’t provide a fixed cost due to not knowing the extent of the building works that were being carried out by others and you received what we considered to be accurate indication. I can’t confirm if this was passed onto you. When carrying out the work it became evident that the routing of the cable was different to what we anticipated and a joint box was required to be installed in the floor space; this took additional time. As did the requirement to carry out the additional work changing the switch you requested. Regarding turning up unannounced and an abortive call charge. We don’t turn up unannounced, that simply wouldn’t make good business sense, you were also not charged an abortive call fee. We did, however, agree to come back later in the day to suit your needs as well as graciously providing you a reduction in your bill.
Extractor fitted and electrical repair

David came out to do a quote and give us different options. He made everything very clear and offered the option of using a builder they use to fit an extractor tile to our roof, and to order in the extractor we wanted. Rather than having to go to different workers to get the job done this made the whole process very easy. The quote showed what the complete job would be and we were very happy with it. On the day of the job we had another electrical fault. Chris who did the extractor fitting and the fault diagnosis and repair was excellent throughout. We will definitely use them again.
