  We booked Sylvester for a downstairs bathroom addon and some internal improvements after being let down by a previous building firm. We are delighted with the results. Throughout the work, momentum was maintained as promised and Sylvester took complete responsibility, calling in and project managing any specialist trades such as plumbing and electrics through his extensive list of contacts. There was total transparency and any problems (which we’re used to with a 1930’s house) were discussed and a course of action was agreed upon before we moved forward.   Empire Builders sub-contracted a rendering job on our property.It became apparent that many ,major mistakes were made. What upsets us is that Sylvester has not taken any responsibility for these mistakes.We hired a builder,expecting a good standard of workmanship.We complained to him for many months and he kept saying that he would not let us down and then had the gall to ask for extra payment to put things right!We have totally lost respect for this company and have now decided to pay reputable builders to rectify these problems.
