Problem with wiring
Third party company wanted me to pay £125 upfront for call-out which I prefer not to do but did so because I wanted someone urgent. I expected someone to come out urgently based on correspondence but still had to wait a few days. Tradesmen who finally contacted me was already on Checkatrade and I could have sourced directly myself. Oven/microwave attempted repair
Booking was quick and professional — prompt WhatsApp replies, details confirmed, £125 taken upfront. After that, it went downhill. The engineer said the callout could've been avoided with basic checks beforehand — that's on them. They ordered a part, then went quiet. When chased, I was told it was no longer available, with no alternative offered. I asked for the part number to source it myself — ignored despite repeated chasing. Good at taking payment, poor on follow-through. I've used similar services before at similar or lower cost, with a better experience. Very happy
