  Electrical Under Floor Heating Repair

  Underfloor heating fixed promptly and tidily.

  The electric underfloor heating in our kitchen failed about 6 months ago and we were told it may be necessary to remove the tiling. Called Craig Holmes, who promptly found a slot for diagnosis and in about 20 minutes tested all circuits and isolated the fault within the underfloor sensor and thermostat/control unit. The following week he replaced both the sensor and the control unit within a couple of hours and at a very reasonable cost without disturbing any of our tiles or kitchen fittings. Explained what he was doing throughout and left our kitchen clean and tidy - and warmer.

  Excellent quality and service

  I had a number of jobs that I needed doing and Craig was able to take a look and submit a quote within a couple of days. Job has just been completed and I am delighted. Very friendly and efficient and also offered excellent advice on the best solutions. 100% recommend and will be using Craig for all future electrical jobs.

  Repaired bathroom fan and replaced smart thermostat

  Craig came round to quote and fixed the fan with no charge. He later replaced our Smart thermostat. Knowledgeable and polite, we would use Holmes Electric again.

  Tidy Socket Installation

  We had a great experience with Craig. We needed a new socket in a part of the house that wasn't well-connected, and he was able to suggest several solutions. The work was carried out professionally, quickly, and with almost no disruption to our household.

  Prompt, friendly, professional, tidy local electrician

  Of the electricians that replied to my Checkatrade request, Craig was the only one to offer to come round to look at the job to provide an accurate estimate and suggest solutions to my issues. He replaced a number of sockets/ switches/ a security light on the first visit and then returned to rectify unsatisfactory issues revealled by the electrical test. I only had to wait one or two weeks for Craig to schedule both jobs in and he proved a friendly, efficient and tidy worker who completed to time and estimate. He returned promptly to resolve snagging issues. I would use his services again

  Very helpful, and responsive follow-ups

  A couple of years ago, Craig installed an electric vehicle charging point for us. When it behaved oddly and wouldn’t respond to commands, I texted him on a Saturday morning, and got a reply within five minutes despite the fact that he was apparently on holiday. We solved the problem. Craig has done several jobs for us over the years from a kitchen rewire to outside lights and security lights. He’s very good to deal with, and will discuss all the possibilities before proceeding to a job, which he always does neatly, thoughtfully and promptly. Very fair pricing.
