  Roof repair

  I was extremely impressed by everyone I encountered during my roof repair. The office staff, scaffolding, lead flashings and chimney replacement crew, as well as the team who installed the roof ridge. They were polite, professional, kind and hard-working. I had previously been scammed by a rogue Roofer, so I was scared to trust again. Mr. Danny Horncastle alleviated all of these fears on our first meeting. His assurances put me at ease immediately. I cannot adequately expressed my eternal gratitude to this Roofing Company. Their competency and honesty is incomparable.

  Gutter cleaning

  Awful company who should not be trusted or contracted to complete any work. Horncastle charged me £430 to clean the my gutters following a small leak. A few days after, a far larger leak occurred in my property as it turns out they did not clean out all parts of a connected guttering. Horncastle refused to return and complete the job until their liability was demonstrated, and have since refused to compensate my neighbours and I for the damage to our properties which happened as a result of their dereliction. Another roofing company I have since hired charge £160 to properly complete the job.

  We provided an estimate, you were fully aware of what was required and how much you would be paying (£360.00 plus VAT). We warned it would happen again due to the trees and shrubbery in the vicinity of the property; we further advised that you regularly tend to the area. You asked us to proceed. We provided photographs before and after we cleaned on the day. We re-visited due to you saying you had water ingress as your area was flooded on 25 July 2021 like most of London we found your neighbours gutters full of debris which had blocked the outlet you both share. We cleaned your neighbours’ valley gutter and outlet as a good will gesture and advised you to speak to your neighbours to advise them to have their valley gutters cleaned regularly. We are pleased you have taken our advice and will be having the gutters cleaned regularly; hopefully your neighbours will too and wish you every success with your chosen company. We sincerely sympathise with the situation and can only image how distressing this must be however we cannot control the weather, your neighbours roof or blockages caused due to maintenance issues.

  Replacing flat roof, skylight, gutterings

  Professional, helpful from start to finish. Communication between administration and the actual men on site very good. The job was started on time and finished within expected timeframe. Everyone courteous. This is the third time we have used this company over the last 25 years. Would not hesitate to recommend.

  Complete roof replacement

  I am immensely pleased with the roof work done by Horncastle. The old roof was in a terrible state, and posed some tricky technical challenges. The team handled it all in their stride and kept me informed throughout. Enquiries were answered immediately and there were no nasty surprises on costs. And of course, the result was top class – a thing of beauty.

  Main roof retiled, bay window reroofed, chimney repointed and guttering

  My priority was to entrust the job to a company with a solid reputation over a long period of time. The choice was Horncastle and Sons. My main concern was starting the retiling in damp, rainy conditions. I needn't have worried as they made sure that the roof was watertight overnight. You will find the whole team are professional and courteous. I throughly recommend Horncastle and Sons and will not hesitate in using them in future.
