  Extension rebuild, new roof, kitchen and bathroom

  John is a friendly and knowledgable guy. He talked through my vision of the upgrade and offered good advice on elements I could improve. He is a neat and clean worker and ensured any sub contractors were the same. I waited until after winter before posting a review to see how the building work fared and have had no problems whatsoever. Extension building works 10/10 New roof 10/10 Replacement facia and soffit 8/10 (missing or broken joint covers, old soffit visible at every window reveal) New kitchen 9/10 (catching cupboard doors, slight gapping) New bathroom 10/10 All flooring/tiling 10/10

  Building work

  POOR SERVICE I rang the trade to discuss a job we had a brief conversation on the phone and he sent me his email address and i forwarded him the job details and send him photos He never once has replied to my email he never once text or called me back but he has read each message I sent him This is very unprofessional he could of rang me instead of asking for me to email over all the details and then completely blanking me

  The customer contacted me on Tuesday 30th July at circa 1100h – I was on site all day. Within a 32-hour timeframe he had written a negative review on my Checkatrade account, and also asked not to be contacted by myself again. So without even having the chance of rectifying the issue, which incidentally I believe was not an issue as this timeframe should be acceptable, and because of his impatience, I now have a negative review. As he is a builder himself, he will know how difficult it can be contacting customers whilst working on site, and thankfully I got an insight into his attitude and I am pleased I did not end up working with him.

  Repair to large Flowerbed Damaged by Vehicle

  After a car hit brickwork at property entrance John of JDK visited the site, inspected the damage and gave a detailed quotation which was accepted. Before starting he visited a salvage yard to source similar bricks so the repair blended into the existing old structure. Preparation was done with the area cleaned and made ready. Work started and continued to completion, he even checked the brickwork outside of the damaged area and made that good also. I was impressed with John as a person and as a builder and can certainly recommend him as a trusted trader who I shall use again.

  JDK made the whole process very straight forward. Quick to review our requirement and provided a detailed quote with various scenarios for work required depending upon the extent of the damage. Work completed in a timely fashion, to a high standard and at a reasonable cost. John was a pleasure to deal with.
