    Our stairs window needed to be replaced, and we decided that we should reinstate the original stained glass design. Neither a local window firm nor a national firm were able to provide what we were after. We eventually found Knowles' website, and were delighted to discover that Sharon could provide exactly what we were after. It was great to visit the studio and to discuss with her the choice of colours and glasses. The result is splendid - a faithful and accurate reproduction of the original design in triple-glazed units, in a new casement window, expertly fitted by Michael and Martin.

They fully explained about the encapsulation process including example photos when requested, then about the installation options when they came to take the panel out. Very tidy in their work and kept us in touch on the day about their arrival. And of course the repair and encapsulation was excellently done. Would highly recommend.

    Our new house had a full length frosted window in the living room, which had once upon a time been a door. The previous occupants had in fact put a curtain in front of it since it was somewhat unsightly. After contacting Sharon at Knowles, we sent some images and suggestions and she came back with some fantastic designs at a very reasonable Price. We've now had our new stained glass window fitted and couldn't be more delighted with the outcome. Fantastic to work with and highly recommended.

I've worked in my father's glass business for over two decades and now Knowles Glassworks continues the family business based in Horley, Surrey near Gatwick. We cover a wide area the South of England and have a vast portfolio of work we provide. Our service to you is 100% to achieve 100% satisfaction. "Small enough to care, large enough to cope." 

I gained considerable knowledge and experience working on all types of buildings from houses, schools and offices to churches and even cathedrals. I take pride in all the work we do and the services we provide. From replacement with new products to restoration of old.

Perfected over the past 25 years and one of the forerunners of providing a service where we have been encapsulating triple glazing our customer genuine traditional leaded light windows. Retaining the existing coloured and stained glass windows, preserving and protecting the beauty of stained glass, whilst adding extra security, protection and insulation to their homes. 

New uPVC windows, composite doors supplied and fitted and again, we can encapsulate triple glaze existing or design new bespoke leaded light creations to make your home truly unique and different to other homes in your neighbourhood.

I run taster short course in making a genuine coloured leaded light. One to one, fun enjoyable craft day in my studio.
