LED Lighting

Soffit light installation
Not great. Took a long time to sort and connect soffit bulbs to wifi, I’m now having issues with one of the bulbs as showing offline for 7 days and I can’t re connect, no after care, tradesperson now uncontactable

Thank you for your feedback. However, I believe it’s important to clarify the facts for accuracy. The work in question was completed in May 2024, and at the time, you were nothing but thankful for the service I provided. The issues you experienced with the smart lights were due to the WiFi signal strength at your property, which I explained during my visits. This was not a problem with the bulbs or the installation. I even replaced the original smart lights at my own expense when they had trouble staying connected. I recommended you purchase a WiFi extender to improve the signal, which you did, and I returned to reconnect the lights on three separate occasions. At the time of leaving the property for the final time, all smart lights were working correctly, as you noted. The problem stemmed from your WiFi signal strength, not the installation or the products, which I made clear. It’s also important to mention that I no longer trade in the UK as I’ve since moved abroad, which was something we discussed. This explains why I am unavailable for aftercare at this time. It’s disappointing to see this review posted five months after the work was completed, especially considering the efforts I made to ensure everything was working properly when I left. I take great pride in my work and always strive to provide excellent service, as I did in this case.

Kev gave a friendly, courteous and professional service. He arrived on time, told me how long it was going to take to complete the work and finished on time. Kev did a great job and there was no mess when he had finished. He explained everything clearly to me afterwards.

House Rewiring

Rewire (semi-detached bungalow)
Just bought my first house overdue for a rewire -- Kev did a great job, start to finish. At first visit, he explained the process, took down all of my requests, and provided a prompt (and extremely competitive) quote. He was able to start the job within about a week of accepting the quote, which was great. While he was working at the house, he sent me daily updates on his progress and completed the work a bit sooner than expected. Kev is super reliable and friendly, and happy to explain everything and anything. Would highly recommend!

Disconnecting lighting switch and establishing pull cord lighting. Making good.
Kevin did an excellent job. He was professional and friendly throughout. The job was completed in a very short time and Kevin tidied and cleaned the area thoroughly.

Replacement Shower Unit.
Needed a New Shower Unit, as old one 15 yrs + Contacted KRT Electrical and Property Services. Response and Communication Very Good. New Shower Unit installed today, Guys very professional, installed New Unit, gave us a run through how to use it, cleaned up after themselves, we'll Impressed, thank you so much, would use these guys again shoud we need to.

I'm Kevin Gower the owner and founder of KRT Electrical Services.

We are a family run business that is based in Earls Colne, Colchester, Essex.

KRT has been running now for 11 years, having been established in 2011.

During this time I have gained vast experience in electrical installation works in the domestic and commercial sectors.

I am a fully qualified, insured and Part P registered electrician which means I have the experience and knowledge to deal with every type of electrical service that you may require.

Working pre-dominantly in the domestic sector, I pride myself on top of the range workmanship and high levels of customer service.

Commercial electrical works are also undertaken.

I always aim to provide my customers with the very best service and price whilst ensuring I take every possible moment to make sure the job I undertake is completed to as professional a finish as possible.

This is reflected in my customer satisfaction and feedback.
