Overpriced
I do not recommend this service. Highly overpriced. The locksmith started drilling the lock immediately without even trying to pick it first. He did not inform me about the increasing costs. The estimate remained unclear even after I contacted the office. Furthermore, the locksmith took my old mechanism without informing me. I contacted other locksmiths and received quotes that were £200 cheaper. They also told me that I should get my parts back. When I asked for them the next day, they returned a bent mechanism. The new locksmith commented that both the drilling and bending were intentional.Job location: NG54.33 Lock Repair

Overcharged

Money taken, job not done, avoiding me and refusing to refund - scammed.
I had a broken lock gearing on a security door, so the bolts no longer retracted. I booked Lockguard Locksmiths to arrive on 30th March. The unlocked the door and I paid 305GBP for visit and for ordering spare components. Since then a month later, they have not completed the job. 6 calls later, even spoke to manager - nothing. Very expensive over priced poor quality workmanship should not be on checkatrade
I had a new lock and assembly fitted to a pvc door at a cost of over £600 within a month the door would not latch closed I spoke with the receptionist about the problem and was told I would be charged for the work,the guarantee only covers the materials not the workmanship which is of a poor standard as the latch assembly was left with sharp edges. you could tell by the excuses they come up with why I was going to be charged the door must have dropped or it could have bowed it has only been 4 weeks and used very little.
