  Period Property Renovation

We have just completed Phase 1 of our period property renovation with Miall & Barnes and have had an exemplary experience with them. From tender to completion, Mark, Rob & Ryan have been excellent builders, project managers, problem solvers, are clear and communicative with an astute attention to detail. Mark is polite and easy to work with whilst giving helpful insights and advice throughout all aspects of the build - clearly developed over years of experience and skill. We are incredibly pleased with the work & look forward to working with them for the next phase of our project. Many thanks!

Fabulous work and a joy to have around. 100% recommend them.

We had a hot tub that had been installed badly on wood ( we believed it had a concrete base). The wood had rotted and the tub was collapsing on one corner and dropping badly. Mark and Rob assessed the work and planned to try and jack the tub up and install concrete block underneath it. A massive and challenging job. The tub was also surrounded by badly installed decking. The guys took up the old decking , jacked the hot tub installed a new base, built new decking and solved every challenge that came their way. I cannot recommend them highly enough and a pleasure to work with.

  Roof Windows Installation

New flat roof and roof lanterns installed

Miall & Barnes Limited did a fantastic job replacing our old flat felt roof with a new rubber roof, installing two roof lanterns and new guttering. Mark, Rob and the team were professional, hardworking and kept everything clean and tidy, despite working through extreme heat. The roof lanterns have completely transformed the back of our house. We’re absolutely delighted with the quality of the workmanship and would highly recommend Miall & Barnes Limited.

  Loft Windows Installation

Velux window, boarding loft floor, installing loft ladder

Mark carried out the installation of our VL Lux window, including the ladder fitting, and I couldn’t be more impressed. He arrived very early, was perfectly on time, and remained professional throughout the entire job. His workmanship was careful, precise, and clearly done with pride. Mark and his colleague Rob went above and beyond by kindly adjusting our front door and trimming an internal door — tasks they didn’t need to do, but still did without hesitation. I was extremely grateful for their courtesy and attention to detail. An amazing builder, incredibly trustworthy, and genuinely a ple

  10/10 recommend, very professional

Absolutely brilliant job done by Mark and his partner - extremely thorough, very good value for money and did a brilliant job of installing acoustic panelling in the bedroom. They were both very personable and friendly too, which is a bonus :) they went the extra mile and I will certainly be asking them to do some further works. Highly recommend!
