Middlemore did work for us just over a year ago. The pruning and hedge cutting were done well. However, they planted 8 pleached red robins for us - they stand 3m tall and cost £350 per tree. One has just died and when a landscaping firm removed it the root ball was tiny. The others are struggling. The diagnosis is that these plants were not planted correctly in that the root ball was not surrounded by compost and grit to give the roots a chance to grow properly. They were just put in a hole in the ground only just big enough. This is not what I would expect. Very poor.
Response from Middlemore Tree Surgery
Hi,
I am sorry to hear this…. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee the plants as you purchased these your self. It is all too easy to blame the planting. But as the other ones are fine…. I would say it was the plant itself and would seek a refund from supplier. Please remove review as I’m sure you can see this is completely unfair!
