    Problem boiler

    Logan was very prompt at replying to my enquiry. He was excellent at explaining the issues in terms that I understood. He was honest and open with the work that needed to be done including financial costs and offered solutions to the problem. I will definitely be using again and would not have a problem recommending him to others. Thank you again.

    New Boiler

    We first encountered Logan when he was sent to our house to investigate a leak in our water system. It was not immediately obvious, but Logan went through all the options and eventually discovered the problem, which 2 previous engineers had failed to find! As a result we asked him to quote for a new boiler. He was very thorough and gave us a range of options having discussed what we wanted and which boiler was most efficient for the property and us. He carried out the work when agreed and to a high standard (including bricking up the old flue hole!) We are very satisfied! Highly recommended!

    Fault finding and getting heating throughout the house

    Logan arrived at our bungalow to look at some issues with out heating not working as it should. He investigated all avenues that may be the cause and he automatically looked at the potential cause and had a very good idea of what it may be and followed his instinct and with his vast knowledge worked out the cause. Which was the case. He was forthcoming with his knowledge as to how the heating process works which has made us look at how we move forward to a better service and more economical way forward and a secure piece of mind for the future. We highly recommend his services.

    Full boiler service/certificate with a boiler part I needed to have changed. Quote included this.

    Today Logan came to do a full boiler service and he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and very thorough. He is a lovely person who is honest and very good at his job. He explains what he will do and why he would recommend it be done which I thought was really helpful. Additionally, I realised he put on shoe coverings when he came into the house, very respectful. I would 100% recommend him. He is one decent tradesperson.

My name is Logan smith and smiths heating solutions ltd is run by myself and my wife Becky. I have over 16 years experience with heating and gas appliances working for a well known company as a service and repair engineer. For many years I worked as the areas lead technician, working alongside representatives of boiler manufacturers and being dispatched to solve problematic jobs.

In May 2021 I decided to leave and setup my own company as I felt I could provide a better service to customers by going solo.

I am a qualified gas safe engineer and able to work on Gas and LPG.

I pride myself on being very thorough and proving the best experience I can for my customers. When I service an appliance I will always follow what is expected by your appliance manufacturers. Before I Quote a price I always ask for the make and model of the appliance as to double check what is expected and order all the relevant and correct seals that will need replacing if the appliance requires a full strip and clean.

I have experienced for years in my trade, appliances that haven’t been looked after properly and hence, only last half of their operational life. This does upset me as I am a firm believer of making things last.

That said, I am more than capable of installing a new boiler or system when require. However, I will fit other brands if required.

All of my oil training so far has been carried out at Grants excellent training facility in Devizes.

Not only do I service and install heating appliances, I pride myself and take a great interest in fixing and repairing faults. I have a keen eye for detail and take it personally to get people up and running again. Over the course of my career there hasn’t been many occasions where I have been unable to fix or find a solution for the customer, hence my business name Smiths heating solutions!!!!

I can also powerflush, fit filters, scale inhibitors, water softerners, replacement radiators, install new pipework, install smart controls, including load and weather compensation as required.

Happy also to do general plumbing and repairs and landlord certificates.

Most importantly I like to know my customers are safe in their homes.
