I hired Tom at the last minute to assemble 12 pieces of flat-packed furniture for my new home.

Tom was incredibly helpful, taking on the job at short notice and spending the whole day on a Sunday assembling everything. He was meticulous, diligent and took great care with his work. Everything looked fantastic afterwards. I would thoroughly recommend Tom for any handyman jobs.

  Garden Clearance

  Hedge trimming & bramble clearance.

We needed our roadside hedge to be cut back where it was overhanging the pavement, and also a large adjacent patch of brambles to be cleared. Tom replied very quicly and gave us a sensible quote. Luckily he was able to fit us in for the following week and did an excellent job Afterwards, he cleared and took away all the trimmings. Have noted that Tom also undertakes Handyman jobs, so I'm sure we shall have need of him again before long.

Install bathroom mirrors and new shelves in storage closet

Tom was polite and respectful and was working well to our needs. Everything was going well with new storage shelves and new bathroom mirrors and mirror cabinets installed to a good standard. The last piece of work involved new curtain rails but this couldn’t be done even though we are in a new build with standard plasterboard. Wall plugs were initially used which we later found out wasn’t suitable. We recommended plasterboard fittings instead and so Tom tried to install this but instead we ended up with large holes in our wall and it wasn’t repaired and the rails weren’t installed. Pretty disappointing as this should be fairly easy to install without any issues with the wall.

  Response from TWJ Property Services

Hi Mohammed I am disappointed to read this given that whilst I was in the house with you i explained the issues that I was having with the plasterboard fittings I was using. I offered a solution to the problem and showed some examples. After your wife and her dad asked me to use their recommended plasterboard fittings I drove an hour round trip to screwfix to try those for you. As my intention obviously wasn't to leave holes im the wall I didn't have the required materials to fix this and and appointment was made for me to come back Wednesday but then you cancelled.
