Ground water drain blocked
Unable to clear the drain and charged £220 for less than an hours work. Not very happy as another company completed the job and charged a fraction of the price.

Following on from our engineer attending and spending 90mins attempting to clear a substantial blockage on your property a decision was made after discussion with our staff and yourself to call a halt to works as we charge (as very clearly stated in audited e-mail trail for transparency) in timed increments and as a company we have a policy of keeping clients informed of costs at every juncture. Due to partial blockage still in evidence we voluntarily reduced the invoice prepared by a significant amount of £60.00 plus vat leaving a balance of £176.00 including VAT which you very happily paid without query nor complaint. It was a week later that you contacted us and spoke to our staff in a very threatening manner informing her that you had called a second company to complete the unblock as you felt they offered a better rate. Our customer services advisor made every attempt to rectify your unjust complaint and escalated to senior management in order to offer you a full descale and clean free of charge or a partial refund. Both of these offers were declined by yourself in what can only be perceived as a calculated attempt to extort services rendered for free with harassment and bully tactics which we find wholly unacceptable & unethical.

A seriously blocked drain in our new house.
We had a blocked drain that flooded our courtyard and basement with hideous brown water and an accompanying smell. Union Drain came round early next morning (we called them at EOP the day before) and pushed, pulled and eventually pressure hosed the drain eventually removing a lot of gunk and several fatbergs. Their guy was super friendly and super efficient, explaining what he was doing and why as he went along. He did a great job. Love that he was local and obviously enjoyed the work (rather him than me!). Can't recommend these guys highly enough.
