Ideal Home Show 2011 - The Swedish House
As the current Dulux Select Decorator of the year Grand Winner 2011, I was asked to put a team of Dulux Select Members together by Naeem Hafeez, Marketing Executive for Dulux Select Decorators AkzoNobel. The team effort was made possible with the following Dulux Select Decorator members; Wayne de Wet Decorating Services (Norfolk) ; Kevin Watson Decorating Specialist (Norfolk) and Sean Wilkinson and Mark Duddy of V. Wilkinson & Son Ltd. (West Cumbria
This was a wonderful project to work on as the long hours passed quickly due to the enjoyment factor of being involved on such an outstanding project. The London Ideal Home Show at Earls Court is encased in both my history and that of the Team members. I can remember as young boy, I would visit the decorating spectacle with my father Antoine de Wet. We decorated the complete Dulux Retail Colourways House and worked closely with the designers and builders and the watchful supervision of David Richard Associates
The magic of the exhibition still stands strong to this day, as there were many laughs and jokes to be had on this year’s project. The Swedish trades-people were a pleasure to work with, as was Maggie Colvin, her assistant Alison and everyone associated with the project. The Swedish-built house was a far superior counter-part to log cabins, with none of the stereotypical drawbacks. Please visit this website for more details on their products www.jorntrahus.co.uk.
