  Oven, hob, and hood cleaning

  2 thoroughly pleasant, well presented, and highly professional young ladies did an absolutely incredible job of cleaning the disgusting oven left by our house vendor. It is unrecognisable now. They were prompt, quick, friendly - and this is even after I inadvertently messed them around with my original booking. They even gave me advice on protecting the hob. Genuinely can’t recommend them enough.

  Grind out old lime and repoint internal wall

  Ryan came to carry out repointing work and saw that previous owner had used brick sealant. He gave me 3 options to remedy, and explained the costs and implications of each, and we agreed to grind out and repoint. Couple days later Ryan turned up with a team of 2 others, cracked on and finished the job in a morning, and cleaned up inside and out. The pointing looks fantastic again and is no longer crumbling away, and the Yorkshire lime he chose is perfect for the stone in the old mill. Can’t say enough good things about Ryan and his team, he’s honest and reliable and works to a high standard.

  Removal of old electric radiators, install of new

  One of the first to get back in touch on Check a Trade, and the one that gave me the most confidence. Rang me to give advice and a price over the phone, and sent me details over messages. Lads turned up, knowledgeable, polite, talked me through what they were doing, asked questions when there was issues to resolve, did a great job and were tidy. Exactly what you need.

  Boiler repair and service

  Boiler developed a faint gas smell and started making noises. A day later Kris was out, pinpointed several areas of concern, outlined prices, went and got the parts and completed the work. Price was less than I had anticipated. Can’t argue, he’s a great lad with great experience and knowledge. Really grateful.

  Chris is a friendly chap, explained everything, very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, communicative, and kept me in the loop re: ordering of parts and time of repairs. No fuss, just sorted the job for a good price, can’t complain. Definitely recommend him for appliance repairs.

  Owen’s was one of a few companies that came out to price my work and was the only one that gave me the confidence to go ahead with the work. The price was reasonable, and he was polite, knowledgeable, and had positive reviews. I gave a deposit to secure a date, and a couple of days before the date he got in touch with to double check I was still ok for the agreed date. Turned up on time, explained what would happen and when, and carried the work out exactly as described for the price quoted. Clean, tidy, exceptional quality work, and a good laugh too. Highly recommend.
